Those repetitive things kids say...

Technorati tags: ,

Ok, you know how 2 year olds tend to say many of the same things over and over?  Well, I have one of those tales for you.

Tonight we were eating dinner at our normal spot, me on one end of the sofa, Wayne on the other end and the kids between us on the floor.  We had hamburgers and macaroni and cheese if it matters.  Jace had pretty much eat all he was going to eat, dipping his mac/cheese in the ketchup and pretending that it was delicious. Yack!

All of the sudden we hear, BOOOOOM!  Jace stands up and says, "GUN"!How he knew  that, I don't know.  He stood up though as if he was a little spooked.  Then we hear, BOOOOM! again.  Jace says, "GUN".  This time he gets in my lap.  "GUN!", he says.

The rest of the conversation went like this:

Jace:  GUN

Me:  yes baby, it is ok, it is gone now

Wayne:  why don't you go finish eating

Jace:  GUN

Me:  I don't know what is up with that (talking to Wayne)

Jace:  GUN

Wayne:  we know Jace, but it is ok, it is gone

Jace:  GUN

Me:  listen baby, that gun is way over there, it won't go boom anymore

Jace:  GUN

Me:  Wayne blah blah blah (talking to Wayne, he says it sounds like blah blah blah anyway)

Jace:  GUN

Wayne: (to me) blah blah blah (you get the idea)

Jace:  GUN

Me:  (getting frustrated but laughing at the same time) yes Jace Gun

Wayne:  why is he doing that

Jace:  GUN

Ok, I'll spare you but this went on for the better part of 10 minutes.  But I can tell you that the BOOM that was a GUN obviously scared the bejesus out of that kid.  He would not relent on the "GUN" thing.
