The Eiffel Tower
Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 09:50AM I have been on the warpath with my husband who spoke with some folks who could help him get a job working in a position that would allow us to travel. And, living abroad would give our children the chance at an education that no text book can ever simulate.
The First Lady and the girls (and the President I assume) toured the Eiffel Tower and apparently the American Foreign Press was the only news service to get photos. The girls and their mother jetted to paris from D.C. for a few days of private vacation tmie. And, then, on Saturday, the First Lady took care of some “official business” and travelled to the Normandy coast with President Obama to mark the 65th anniversary of D-Day and then return to Paris.
According to Press, the Kennedy’s Paris tour in 1961 was the last time the French were eager to see a U.S. first family out on a sight-seeing weekend. Mr. President had gone ahead a day earlier for their first foreign visit since the presidential election.
