American Idol - Season 4

 

Nikko Smith - A lucky guy, if I must say so myself.

Nikko was a contestant because someone else dropped out.  He was more than just a little exited to get that call telling him that he was in the top 12. 

And, if the name looks familiar...it is, he is the son of Ozzie Smith...you know, short stop for the cardinals...you know.

Anyway, here's a couple of pictures of Ozzie for your viewing pleasure.

 

 

 

When did you first start to sing?

In church when I was about 7.

Do you have any formal singing training?

No.

What other talents do you have?

I was involved in martial arts.

If you don’t make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?

Continue to sing.

What are your personal goals in life?

To be individually and independently successful in music.

What album would your friends be surprised you own?

The Eagles greatest hits.

Who is your AMERICAN IDOL?

Prince.

Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform?

Pray.

Favorite male pop artist?

Mario.

Favorite female pop artist?

JoJo.

Most embarrassing moment?

I was performing and my shoe came off and I accidentally kicked it across the room.

What has been your proudest moment in life so far?

Making the top 24.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?

I would love to be a painter.

What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL?

Someone who has the drive, talent and star quality to show America real music.

Who is your favorite judge and why?

They're all my favorites.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I'm a homebody.

How has this changed your life?

I'm a lot more focused now.

Do you have any lucky charms?

Yes, my dad gave me a coin that always brought him luck.

Who are your heroes in life?

My parents.

What's been your toughest obstacle in life?

Staying focused.

Do you think the audition process was fair?

Yes.

If you win, who will you thank first?

Jesus.
